It’s just about that time but since I totally missed doing a wrap up for last month and I’ve only done three posts for September I decided to do this ‘wrap-up’ business a little earlier than normal. I think it’s fair to say that this hasn’t been the most productive of months for me in terms of my blog. In fact it’s been the worst month by blog numbers than all the other months before it. So why is that? I know that I’ve talked about why I haven’t been around much but I think that it goes a little deeper than that.
So today I’m going to ramble a little bit about how I’m feeling and where to go from here?
I have always had a love of reading, I don’t know where they came from but I knew after I had my first child that I would want to read to them. Reading is such an important part of learning for a child but I never really saw it as that. It was always just a way to have a bonding moment with them. To share something that they would enjoy.
Today’s post is about why I chose to read to my kids, why it seems that the schools have to practically beg parents to read to their kids and why I think you should just…do it. So let’s dive in!
It’s Jordan’s last week for her feature! What a great topic for her guest post! I’m so excited for you to read it that I’m going to make part of it the intro to the post. Thank you again to all those that have participated in these features. This will be my last one for a while but hopefully I have others willing to take this on so more can have their time to shine! So here is the start of Jordan’s post…
Are you avid reader or book worm?
Do you find yourself giving a detailed recount of the book you are reading to friends or family, only to be met with a blank expression?
Do you stalk the web looking for fans of your latest book obsession?
Do you like to keep a record of the books you read, but need to include more notes because you just read so, many, books?
It’s day one of TheWriteReads Ultimate Blog Tour for an amazing book, A Different Time by Michael K. Hill. As soon as Dave said that he was going to do a blog tour for this book I was so stoked to be a part of this and jumped on the chance.
Thank you to Michael for writing such an awesome book and Thank you to Dave for letting me join in. I did receive a copy of this for an honest review as well as to be a part of the blog tour. So let’s get started!
August has kicked my ass. Let’s be real. Not necessarily in a bad way of course just in a way that’s pulled me from the blog. So I thought that I’d throw up an update and what I want to try and do for the future. I know the end of the month is just about here and I will do a Wrap Up post like always but this is going to be focused more on the future.

Okay so I’m starting to get this impression that maybe I’m doing this whole book blogging thing right. I have another guest post for everyone today! This time we have an author! Mari contacted me and decided to do a guest post for ItyReadsBooks! I’m interested in this topic myself so I really hope everyone enjoys this post and follows the links below to learn more about Mari and her book!
It’s our fourth interview on ItyReadsBooks! We have so many more to go which is always exciting! This time we have Alys in Bookland. She’s a bookblogger that’s been around and she’s from the Philippines which is a fact that I did not know until I checked out her blog. I hope you all enjoy her interview and give her some love as well!!
I’m so excited to be a part of this book tour! I just want to say thank you to Paste Creative for bringing me on and organizing this tour. When I was told the plot for the book I knew that I was going to enjoy it. I love Jack the Ripper tales. It is so interesting to me the time period but also how horrific these crimes were and that he was never found. Whether he died or just stopped, whether he went to another country or sated his thirst for killing. No one really knows.
So of course I jumped at the change to take part in this tour. I was not disappointed and I can’t wait to share with all of you my thoughts on this book.
